Climate Action is pleased to announce Nedbank Group as headline sponsor and welcome corporate partners Scania, New Holland Agriculture and MTN Group as the latest sponsors of Climate Action.

Climate Action, produced in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), offers insight into the pressing issues surrounding climate change and sustainability whilst presenting practical, potentially money saving, - 'Actions' - steps that businesses, non-governmental organisations and governments can take to reduce their carbon footprint and those companies leading the way in the fight against climate change. It assists businesses towards carbon neutrality through a multimedia platform consisting of an annual publication and website – climateactionprogramme.org.

Following on from last year’s successful event during COP16 in Cancun, Mexico, Climate Action will once again host a networking reception to launch of the fifth edition of the Climate Action publication and be the premier destination for informal networking in a casual and relaxed atmosphere during the COP17 proceedings in Durban, South Africa later this year.

Invitation only, attendance will be from Climate Action’s supporting partners and sponsors, UNEP and UN governing bodies, global government representatives, legislators, academics, NGOs and global business leaders.

Climate Action’s headline sponsor, Nedbank, is one of the largest banks in South Africa and is committed to the environment and the sustainable conservation of South Africa. Nedbank will be heavily active in communicating their position as a leader within green and sustainable practices within the Climate Action publication and during the networking reception.
