Climate Week NYC is behind us, and three events brought together more than 2,000 delegates to turn climate ambition into action.

Climate Implementation Forum (21 September)
The forum looked at how the Global Climate Action Agenda can move from COP30 to COP31. Companies showcased real progress on their sustainability goals, and cross-sector sessions gave decision-makers space to share what works.

A clear message in all events on the day was that real transformation needs collaboration at landscape level. As Stephen Kehoe put it: "We don't have an innovation problem, we have an implementation problem." These forums create space to work collectively and share best practices, so that tangible climate action is delivered.

Sustainable Investment Forum North America (22 September)
Now in its 10th edition, this is the largest finance forum of Climate Week NYC and is known for uniting asset owners. Senior decision-makers came together to allocate capital, shape finance policy and drive responsible investment towards a 1.5°C world.

Attendees included Norges Bank Investment Management, PGGM, La Caisse, CalPERS, CalSTRS, New York State Common Retirement Fund and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, alongside leaders from banks, insurers, development finance institutions and asset managers.

A standout moment was the discussion on climate adaptation, moderated by Layalee Ramahi. Jamie Fergusson summed up why these forums matter: "4.5 billion people will be affected by a climate event in their lives."

Accountability in a Sustainable World (23-24 September)
This online conference kept asking the hard questions on regulation, sustainability reporting, capital allocation and performance metrics. Academics and practitioners came together on data, assurance and the high-quality information responsible investment depends on.

With six weeks to go until COP31, the conversation continues at the Climate Action Innovation Zone in Antalya. Join us on 10-11 November to help turn ambition into implementation.
