Vattenfall confirms first UK solar project
Swedish energy giant Vattenfall will start building its first solar power project in the UK in January

Swedish energy giant Vattenfall will start building its first solar park in the UK in January, as part of a project to boost the potential of its existing UK sites.
The new Parc Cynog Solar Farm in Wales will be located on the site of a Vattenfall wind farm and the company said the new solar installation will start producing power in March.
Vattenfall said in a statement that co-locating wind and solar power installations makes “technical sense”.
The new solar project will use the same grid connection as the wind farm which will reduce connection costs.
