India to become green hydrogen manufacturing hub

Global industry is witnessing a massive significant shift toward decarbonization, driven largely by concerns around climate change caused by global warming.. Government, institutional bodies, businesses are taking major steps towards decarbonization by reducing their carbon footprint l. The credibility to the transition to greener and environment friendly steps is getting established given the large number of investments made by corporate houses, and financial institutions, targeted schemes like Production Linked Incentive (“PLI”) by the governments and enabling policies. This has led to the development of various alternate low carbon emitting fuels and sources of energy. This paper highlights India’s potential of developing these low carbon fuels and the advantages it inherits.
