World Environment Day 2015 soundtrack launched in Australia
Band release 'Limits 'track to support WED 2015 theme of 'Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.’

The Australian band, Formidable Vegetable Sound System, released a new song on Friday to celebrate the United Nations' World Environment Day 2015.
The track, titled “Limits”, is a call to reduce the human impact on the planet and will support the theme of WED 2015 which is 'Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.’
The band has performed alongside The Rolling Stones, Thom Yorke of Radiohead and The Dap Kings at world-class festivals and concerts.
A public screening of the video will take place in the Queensland city of Cairns, Australia on Friday as part of the 5 June WED 2015 celebrations at the ECOSpeak Symposium held by the band.
The song aims to promote sustainable agriculture and ecological farming and commentators have said the group is at the forefront of a new form of musical activism with a focus on cultural change and sustainability.
World Environment Day is observed every year on 5 June and is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to raise awareness of environmental issues and catalyse action on climate change.
The theme urges people to evaluate consumption habits including shopping, eating and travelling.
In a statement, UNEP said: “By 2050, if current consumption and production patterns remain the same and with a rising population expected to reach 9.6 billion, we will need three planets to sustain our way of life. Living well within planetary boundaries is the most promising strategy for ensuring a healthy future.”
Each year, UNEP runs several campaigns and initiatives to promote the World Environment Day theme with environmental organisations, schools and groups across the globe running events leading up to and taking place on June 5.
